Groundhog Day

Phil Says Spring is Right Around the Corner!
Phil's official forecast as read 2/2/07 at 7:28 a.m. at Gobbler's Knob:

El Nino has caused high winds, heavy snow, ice and freezing temperatures in the west.
Here in the East with much mild winter weather we have been blessed.

Global warming has caused a great debate.
This mild winter makes it seem just great.

On this Groundhog Day we think of one thing.
Will we have winter or will we have spring?

On Gobbler's Knob I see no shadow today.

Now, aside from the fact that I don't know where in the entire U.S. that the sun is shining enough for a shadow, it seems to me that that silly groundhog has gotten way too involved in meteorology. El Nino? Seriously. What does a rodent know about El Nino?

Anyway, I'm all about an early spring. Bring it on.

Happy Groundhog day all!

Groundhog Day will for always remind me of Tom Hanks as that crazy reporter who keep living the same day over and over again in the movie with that same name...hehe
I hope you will get through yours only once though ;)

Happy Groundhog Day :hugs:

didn't even know it. Well, I agree not much sunshine around here, that's for sure. My Sweetie and his Mom in Florida got a hell of an awakening this morning... tornados missed them by about 20 miles... scary.

Oh, and BTW - great poem Aggie :-)

Whoops! Blogger ate part of my comment! I said I didn't even know it is groundhogs day today. Hmmm, I've been working too hard.

I feel like winter hasn't even started! The weather has been so mild in my area this year. I want my snow! (What's the point of being a teacher if you can't enjoy a Snow Day or two?)

... Guess I'll have to go talk to that groundhog... Make him see things my way!

Bill Murray, Christa LOL, now that was a good film, did like that one - especially the part where he learns to play piano. That would be me, only if I had all the time in the world would I be able to master a musical instrument. :-)

Well, I was late. Apologies. Hope everyone had a happy groundhog day. :-D

Love all round, x

So, blogger babe, how was your first day at work?

LOL @ Autumn - I think blogger liked that comment of yours ;)
And yawp...i realized that in the middle of the night that it was Bill Murray and not Tom Hanks who did that movie...I always mix them up, but only for that movie...it's weird :p
When I tried to correct myself in here, Blogger had a fit and wouldn't even open a comment window *pout*
