Vista Child

Name: Vista Presario
Birthdate: 7/21/07
Mother: Hewlett Packard
Father: Compaq Presario

Adopted by the Agnes family for the sum of $4,795.02. (ok, not really. It was a lot cheaper...but the cost of the headache......)
Windows Vista, I do not recommend. It does not play well with printers. There is very little software, in fact, that it does play well with and no one has bothered to make new software for it. Games bail out the moment they are introduced. It loses drives left and right. It really isn't a very polite child at all.

I will say this for it, the little Vista bot is a networking fool. It searches out every pc and laptop within spitting distance....but I think it only wants to take all the toys from the other computers.

Our little VistaBot is a baaaaaad kid.

Happy Monday all.

I'm guessing grounding won't help. :-)
Happy week ahead, xo

I will fight against Vista with the same energy as I did when XP first came out :p

Never liked Microcraps new operating systems simply because they never finish building them before it's being released. And they're getting more and more expesive, and they're taking up more space than any other software I've ever bumped into.
It's nuts.

Good luck in any case and I hope you get things worked out in the end :hugs:

I bought a Mac about a month ago. Never been happier for all the opposite reasons you stated with Vista.

Welcome back to the world of blog world...a rule of thumb for any new product, such as Vista, is that let the world experience it first and then let it stabilise...else stick with good old XP :)

Have a pleasant day!

LOL Terry. I love your poem. :) Very sweet. Thank you.
I hope you're doing well. I'll come by for some of that visual stimulation you always offer.

HI RUPEN! Sorry I've been in hiding. Don't mean to. Just can't think of much to say these days.
I agree about waiting a few years for pc programs to stabilise. Wish I could have. The old pc went kaput and when I told Fry's I wanted to buy one with Windows NT they told me that would be an extra $200.00. How much does that suck, huh? Geeeze. (Aggie smacks Bill Gates upside the head like a naughty kid.)

Autumn...I'm always sending love your way in my thoughts. Thanks for well-wishing my weeks and weekends. (((((())))))

Becky, your father has my deepest sympathies. I hope he's got it figured out or a techie he can beat up on at least.

Tree - I have deep Mac envy.
Hugs and kisses to you sweet man.

Christa, I couldn't agree more. Windows Vista comes with an extra partitioned hard drive to manage all the idiot space it's taking up. Don't even get me started on how that partition builds up "restore" files and bombs out. Dumb, dumb, dumb!

For anyone who gets Vista - turn the damned thing off every night. It MUST dump. If it doesn't dump, it will overload that stupid partitioned drive with dump files.

Ok...I've ranted enough.
Love to each and every one of you.
Hugs - Aggie
