1-27-2006 F R I D A Y

There's an old saying "Imagine how old we'd be if we got our wish, always asking for Friday and 5:00."
I guess that means we'd skip a lot of Mondays-Thursdays.
Regardless, it is 6:30a.m. on Friday and all I really want is for it to be 5:oop.m.

It will come.

I walked out of the building last night to behold the most glorious sunset.
A line of gold along the horizon fading up to peach, then to pale yellow then to the blue-grey clouds...but the most wonderful part was that the bottom edges of every cloud as far as you could see was...pink. Like they were all just touched by a paintbrush. I took the time to stop and soak it all in.
What crossed my mind was "Look! Look as often and as much as you can. One day you may not be able to look anymore."

I wish I had had a camera. I wish I could hand you all that magnificent sky.
I hope you get to see your own magnificent sunset soon.

Bountiful fractal and very true.
I've done that through the camera lens for the past two years now and it beats everything.
Looking at things around me that is ;)
Have a good Friday, Agnes. It'll come to an end as it always does :D

Great frac!
The sunset sounds wonderful - nothing like nature to thrill and delight the senses. Am absolutely desperate at the moment to spend some time at the ocean - city living will do that to me everytime.
Happy Friday - have a wonderful weekend, x

Your post brings to mind some stunning sunsets I've seen. No camera can capture the feelings evoked at the moment you see a spectacular sunset. They are gifts we get from time to time to simply enjoy the moment. Sunrises too.

TGIF - Fridays are another gift :-D Is it 5 o'clock yet?

Mmm, I seem to always ask if its 10pm yet. Hugs and kisses my sharer of moonlight. :-)

Christa, I envy that. I've always taken the time to appreciate and enjoy even the smallest of things.

Autumn, "nothing like nature to thrill and delight the senses" Amen. I hope you get that ocean view soon.

Terry, seeing through your eyes is just as great a thrill. Yes. They are gifts, sunrises too.

Trée - When I was last in Houston we got my 2yr old nephew all excited about "the moon in the sky". That's a month ago and he has apparently gotten quite stuck on it. Because the moment was between he and I, I have to think that he thinks of me when he's so diligently looking for "the moon in the sky" at noon. :) Me and that kid and the moon. That's love.
That moon might just be holding me together these days. :)
I'm so very grateful for it now. I think of you and of him and of everyone on this blog each time I see it, bright in the sky.
XOXO

Tracey, you spoke right from my heart. Yes. It seems everything is so much more important. Sadly, I haven't the tolerance for those who don't take the time....and I keep dragging co-workers, husband, strangers to the smallest of things and explaining how grand they are. :) This may just become who I am...the person that makes everyone LOOK and APPRECIATE.
Lucky them! hah!
Love to you dear. I do hope your icky-sicky is gone and you are well.
I'll be by to visit in just a few mintues. (((((((((()))))))))))

Another great place to see the sunset is in the Okavango Delta (Botswana, Africa)...loved the line about "One day you shan't be able to look any more"...but the tradgedy is when you can look, but are oblivious...

The images you put up seem to have a mesmerizing affect on me. It's like something the Hubble would capture.

Lastly, I would like to put your blog in the My Favorite section of my blog. Do let me know, either by mail or leave a comment on my blog, if its okay with you!

:)
