6-29-06 Illusions and Delusions

If you want to get rid of your enemy, the true way is to realize that your enemy is delusion.

Why am I so very resistant to change? I want the here and now to improve and yet I am hesitant to make a difference. Is the rut comforting?

Because what you know is comfortable.
Even when we're in a situation that are nothing but negative, we resist change and hesitate. It's the old saying "You know what you've got, but you don't know what you'll get" that kicks in.

What is it that you are planning on changing btw?

And :hugs: missy :D

"You know what you've got, but you don't know what you'll get." That's very fitting. I am comfortable...but surely I could be happier, healthier, more mentally stimulated, more interested, more "here".

I have fallen into a rut. A sort of safe rut. The rut is the avoidance of thought. Preoccupation with meaninglessness. Basically, I am in a state of constant distraction from real life.

I know why I fell into the rut. I cannot seem to convince myself to get out of it. I am resisting motivation. I really must change. This is so unhealthy.

Hugs back.
