6-9-06 Happy Friday

I learned something yesterday.
I learned that I can combat self-pity with positive thinking.
The self-pity wasn't mine, by the way.
Once a positive thought was thrown into the pool, the self-pitying party went away.
(sadly, the party continues to pity...just not in my presence)
I'm going to look for a lot of positive thoughts...to share...whether she likes them or not.
I'm going to buy me some Zig Ziglar books - that's what I'm going to do!
One of us will feel better! I know that much.

That's good :) Kick the self-pity party and arrange a more fun pool party instead ;)
There are certain times when self-pity is allowed, and during grief is one of them.
Other than that it's probably one of the most self destructive things you can do :hugs:

Happy Friday back :D

Love the battling smilies... :-D that is so clever. Yes, happy Friday. I don't know if I could take a single more day of no weekend! Positive is a frame of mind- and I need to insert some Positive HERE... (points at mouth) so a smile is born.

So sorry for my absence of late. It appears I missed a helluva pool party over at Tree's house. Linny, I'm glad your Mom is doing ok and wtf is a chocolate martini? Back when I had myself a martoonie or three they were either dry or "shaken not stirred" and that's all you got. Now they have appletinis and peachtinis...and CHOCOLATE??
Becky, always good to see you. I know it's hard to find a minute to type with the kiddo yanking on ya all the time. :)
Tracey, glad you're still popping in. :D Hope live is treating you just fine.
Autumn, I couldn't agree more about the fun. Bring it on and toss out the anger. Blech!
Terry, you're always an inspiration. My heart smiles at your smile. I do hope the weekend was all joy and peace.
And Christ Chrisa! My typing has it's good days....every now and again. LOL Yes, I suppose grieving doeds allow for self-pity but even then one cannot let it rule the days. People who do it for attention just wear me out.
I have also learned that not tolerating or giving attention to one who revels in self pity seems to put an end to it....and since I must find a happy thought to squash the whining...I find my attitude is better as well.

Whew. That was alotta typing. :P
