Godsmack - Serenity
As I sit here and slowly close my eyes
I take another deep breath
And feel the wind pass through my body
I’m the one in your soul
Reflecting the light
Protect the ones who hold you
Cradling your inner child

I need serenity
In a place where I can hide
I need serenity
Nothing changes, days go by

Where do we go when we just don’t know
And how do we relight the flame when it’s cold
Why do we dream when our thoughts mean nothing
And when will we learn to control

Tragic visions slowly stole my life
Tore away everything
Cheating me out of my time
I’m the one who loves you
No matter wrong or right
And every day I hold you
I hold you with my inner child

I need serenity
In a place where I can hide
I need serenity
Nothing changes, days go by

Where do we go when we just don’t know
And how do we relight the flame when it’s cold
Why do we dream when our thoughts mean nothing
And when will we learn to control
I need serenity.

Couldn't agree more.
Morning, Agnes :)
Hope your day will be filled with if not serenity, at least a calm moment here and there :)

Beautiful.
I've fallen head over heels for that place, wherever it is, I want to go there!
Hope you have a good day, xo

I think those are great lyrics. I like the band but it's a bit...um...hard rock. Oh well. Just goes to show that we all have emotions to share.

Autumn, Me too. That place, wherever it is, is 75 degrees all the time with a light, cool wind. Just behind the sandy rock we're sitting on is our campfire. Just behind that is the luxurious log cabin in which we relax to a warm, hearty dinner, a glass of wine and the best book you ever read twice. :)

See there Christa...that was a little serinity. :D Good job with the wishing.

Beautiful place - cool lyrics. I think I have spring no, scratch that... I have summer fever really bad. I want to go camping, traveling, on holiday - somewhere wild, outside, with campfires and sleeping bags... fishing pole and frypan ready... very nice mental getaway you just gave me. Thanks Agnes :-)

Trace, I agree. What a sweet place that would be. I do miss a beachy bonfire with friends and drinks and guitars and plenty of silliness. :)

LMAO Linny. One never knows.
If it doesn't rap or whine I'll listen to it. :P

Terry, I've got to stick with spring fever. Summer fever in Dallas is HOT. Maybe I have summer fever for anyplace but here. LOL ;) Invite me along when you go.
