2-17-2006 Truckin

You're sick of hangin' around and you'd like to travel;
Get tired of travelin' and you want to settle down.
I guess they can't revoke your soul for tryin',
Get out of the door and light out and look all around.

Sometimes the light's all shinin' on me;
Other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me What a long, strange trip it's been.

Truckin', I'm a goin' home. Whoa whoa baby, back where I belong,
Back home, sit down and patch my bones, and get back truckin' on.

It was hard not to post that whole song. I love every verse of it. Grateful Dead. Jerry Garcia. There was a man who really got it.

Anywho...I'm driving down to Houston to see the little sprout. He's having a birthday and I'm going to be his favorite aunt...someday...when he can say my name. Hah. (Oooo....there will be new piccies when I get back. Yay!)

Everyone have a wonderful weekend full of love and fun. If it's going to be as cold where you are as it is here, you'd better get yourself a snuggle-bunny. That goes for you too Linny - even if it's just a gal-pal and a good chick-flick. (how many hyphenated words can I put in one paragraph?)

Love to all of you.
Remember....the moon I'm looking at every night is the same one you see...even if you're half a world away. :) I'll be thinking of you and hopeing you're well.

Flatterer...lol
Agnes...I've installed 6 more themes on my blog and you can switch over from the 3 column to something else when you pay a visit at AwfulSouls the next time. I don't want to force anyone to download something they're not comfy with ya know :D

Glad you decided to make the trip Aggie - I hope your car runs perfectly and carries you safely there and back. I LOVE that song - loved it then and now. Great traveling music :-) See you when you get back.

Linny, that sounds like a perfect weekend. Well earned too! Good for you. I hope you're finally feeling back to normal. :)

Trée my dear...all was well but the missing of you. :) The birthday theme was "the moon" so you stayed on my mind all weekend.
Much love to you.

Terry, not only did my car do fine...I learned that Autozone will hook up a computer to your car if that light comes on and they will tell you what's wrong...FOR FREE. Who knew.
Mine appears to have been a coolant issue but it also appears to be over it now. :) At least I know what to watch for.
As for traveling songs...I see a future post coming up. :D

Becky!!! Yeah for birthday parties of small children. :) They rock! Cake and toys and lots of kids. Weeeee.
Riley's first was a hoot. It was also the first time he EVER had cake. Mmmm....caaaake. LOL

As for the weather, where do you live?? Ten inches of snow and then melted? I thought Texas weather was unpredictable.
I hope you had a safe/warm weekend.

Autumn, The journey was tough, but well worth it. I do have a truckload of those memories. I should write them all down so my feeble brain doesn't lose them. LOL

((((((((((Tracey))))))))) Always thinking of you. I hope your weekend was great and warm. I'm as glad to be back as I was to go.

Christa, holy moly you with the switching themes. LOL I'm easy. I'll go with whatever's available. Maybe you should make something that sort of "generates" the theme of the day. :)~
