10-13-05 Zen Moment

I'm in need of a zen moment. How about you?
Or see Katt's Bamboo Shade and listen to the shakuhachi.

“I am breathing in and liberating my mind. I am breathing out and liberating my mind.” One practices like this.
-The Sutra on Full Awareness of Breathing, translated by Thich Nhat Hanh

PS - The shakuhachi sounds attracted my cat, who stared in wonderment at the speakers, as if remembering an ancient past life.

Cats are funny at times and can act in the most weird ways. Maybe he/she knows something we don't...who knows :)
I'm painting today...that's my zen moments. Works everytime :)

Ohhhh, I so want a "painting zen moment". I love those. The ones where you completely lose track of time and nothing exists but you and about a square inch of canvas at a time. Mmmmmmmm.
Go girl!

Well...I got lost alright...not so sure that the result of it was what I was hoping for, but I guess you can't have it all. At least I had some time "away" from the rest of the planet...and yes, it's a great state of mind/soul/spirit. Almost like floating away from the rest of the planet.

The result of the disaster is published on my blog btw.

Thich Nhat Hanh, one of my favorites of all time. "The Miracle of Mindfulness" and "Peace is Every Step" are classics. Just the sight of his name brings me a sense of peace. {waves at Aggie}

The way my day is going, I just might take someone's face and slam it into the Zen bowl...

Christa, you know I'm headed off to see.
Kathy, I got quite a kick out of Doggy Haiku!

Trée, you are the epitomé of Zen!
It looks like we need to gang up on Linny and force her into big, fuzzy, pink slippers, hand her a sweet liquor drink and body slam her into a back massage.
Hang in there girl! I dunno (yet) what they did to you but they suck anyway so who cares!
